This development provides the comfort and context of modern homes, but heightens the challenge of creating a home that captures and exudes an elevated design. The home at 16 Vanguard Way examines how architects Thad Reeves and Andrew Nance collaborate. A small 2,500 square foot home has a significant presence because of the way the home is sited, engaging the view of the pond and standing up to the other homes with its strong edge. The rigor of the collaboration is seeded by both architects being professors who teach architectural design studio, prompting enthusiastic inquiring about and illumination of each others’ opinion and ideas and work.
